Parc 55 San Francisco Begins Phase Two Renovation
Published on: November 24, 2008

Parc 55 Hotel San Francisco has revealed the redesign plans for Phase Two of its $30 million transformation. The second phase of the makeover includes major upgrades in the lobby, reception area, and meeting and event spaces, as well as a new restaurant called Crave 55. The renovation will take place so as to create minimal disruption to guests. The approach throughout the hotel is contemporary and relaxed, with most of the décor in shades of brown and grey, accented by subtle hues of red and blue. During Phase Two, the guest registration will move from the first floor to the second floor, creating a more intuitive path for visitors from the porte-cochere to the reception area. The new “heart” of the hotel is centered on the second floor, with guest reception and concierge services, as well as the new restaurant. A new lounge, Fizz, creates a link between the guest service areas and Crave 55. The restaurant will feature a selection of items from steaks and chops to freshly rolled sushi. The restaurant also will offer a “grab-and-go” service near the lobby.
Phase Two of the transformation also will enhance the hotels 30,000 square feet of meeting space. The expansion will be orchestrated in stages so the hotel will always be available for events. All meeting space will be upgraded with new carpeting, lighting fixtures, ceiling tiles, window treatments and wall coverings. In particular, the lighting will be environmentally responsible. The recently completed Phase One included upgrades to all guestrooms and suites, as well as the Club Lounge and 24-hour fitness center. Guestroom amenities include flat-panel TVs, high-quality linens, and Jack Packs (conveniently located power strips affixed to the sides of the desks, providing outlets to recharge and connect cell phones, digital cameras, laptops, PDAs, and other electrical devises).
