Dilenschneider Group Adds Brower, Bloom as Travel Executives

Published on: January 13, 2009

In a move to reinforce its growing roster of travel and tourism, wine and spirits, and lifestyle clients, The Dilenschneider Group (DGI) announced the appointments of Joan Brower and Joan Bloom as principals. Both senior executives worked closely with Robert Dilenschneider when he served as CEO of the Hill & Knowlton organization before launching his present company. “I have known and admired the talents and skills of these gifted women for many years and am especially pleased that they have now opted to join our firm as principals,” said Dilenschneider. “Their extensive contacts, long experience and in-depth knowledge of the travel/tourism and lifestyle sectors, particularly, will give a major boost to that expanding segment of the company’s diverse operations.”

Prior to joining DGI, Brower (jbrower@dgi-nyc.com) and Bloom (jbloom@dgi-nyc.com)  served from 2001 to the present as co-directors of the Travel & Lifestyle Group at M Booth & Associates. They came to that firm from Hill & Knowlton where, for many years, they jointly managed its Travel & Leisure specialty group. Brower also directed the Travel Practice at GCI Group in New York. Prior to Hill & Knowlton, Bloom served as a radio broadcaster reporting on travel, food and wine, while Brower as an editor of Signature, the monthly Diners Club publication that reported trends in dining, travel and the arts.
