Carnival Enhances Online Booking Program for Agents
Published on: November 18, 2009
Carnival Cruise Lines has enhanced its online booking tool to allow travel agents to create new group bookings and modify existing reservations electronically on a 24/7 basis. Available via the line’s travel agent Internet portal, www.BookCCL.com, the new system allows agents to perform a variety of group functions that previously had to be handled by phone with the line’s reservations department. The system now allows agents to create new group bookings, modify group allotments, allocate group level cash payments, request option extensions, obtain group confirmations, access group booking reports, review group booking history and use Fun Points to select onboard amenities, take advantage of Carnival’s Flexi-Pricing or both.
“Groups are an important part of our business and this new user-friendly group management tool continues our efforts at streamlining the reservations process for travel agents and enhancing the level of service they provide to their clients,” said Joni Rein, Carnival’s vice president of worldwide sales. Carnival will host a live webinar for the first 1,000 registered travel agent partners from 1 to 2 p.m. EST on Nov. 18. The webinar will also be available on demand at www.BookCCL.com. How-to video tutorials on key features are available within the site as well. Assistance with all of Carnival’s online tools is available by contacting the line’s eSolutions Group at 800-845-2599, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays. These new expanded hours are effective Nov. 30. For more information, call 800-327-5782 or visit www.BookCCL.com.
