Insight Vacations is offering travel professionals a new learning opportunity in 2010 called “Experience a Tour,” which presents travel an opportunity for agents to participate in a tour of their choice at a very low rate. “We at Insight want travel agents to experience what a tour really is all about,” said Marc Kazlauskas, president of Insight Vacations. “In our quest to endear ourselves to agents and continue provide them with learning opportunities we have launched Experience a Tour. As important as in-office and web trainings are, there is nothing quite like experiencing a tour, especially with consumers.

Kazlauskas said “Experience a Tour” gives agents an opportunity to see a tour through the eyes of a consumer (their clients). “We believe once a travel agent experiences an Insight Vacations tour, it will provide them with the confidence they might be seeking to book their clients on an escorted tour, particularly an Insight tour,” he said. Research has shown agents who have taken an escorted tour tend to increase their tour sales by double digits within the first year of returning from the tour.

“We realize that time and budget can be an issue,” Kazlauskas said. “This is why we give the agents the flexibility of joining the tour for two, three or four days. It is our goal to make this as easy as possible for them.”
With “Experience a Tour,” agents choose their destination: USA, Canada, Mexico or Europe; choose their tour; and choose their departure date and duration. They can join a tour for two, three, or four days at the rate of $100 per night. They also can bring a companion for an additional $100 per night.

Agents can book any time within 60 days prior to tour departure. The rate is $100 per person per night ($200 for singles) and they must be professional travel agents to take advantage of the offer.
