August 07, 2012 11:02 PM

Access Trips is offering a new, nine-day culinary tour of Thailand called Flavors and Culture of Exotic Siam. The program will present Thai culture from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and beyond with inclusions such as a morning visit to Wat Po to hear monks chanting, an elephant ride through the jungle, outdoor riverside cooking courses and a trip to the Golden Triangle.

The program will include instruction in the preparation of Thai specialties such as phad thai, curries, spring rolls, hot and sour soup, Thai-style banana fritters, steamed fish and curry custard. Accommodations will be in boutique properties, including a five-star riverfront hotel featuring views of the “River of Kings” and a small hotel inspired by the traditional wooden architecture of Chiang Mai.

Rates start at $3,490 per person and include accommodations, most meals, ground transportation in a deluxe van, airport transfers and domestic airfare. International airfare is not included. Groups are limited to 12.
