Air India Offers Special Air Fares from Newark, Chicago, JFK

Special fares are being offered by Air India as it resumes service from Newark to Mumbai on Aug. 16 and from JFK and Chicago OHare to Delhi on Sept. 5. The carrier is offering special Sales Fares from all of its U.S. gateways for travelers who book by Aug. 19. The fare is good for travel through Nov. 26.

The JFK and Chicago flights will continue to operate with one stop in Paris and Frankfurt, respectively, until Sept. 4. As in the past, flights from Newark to Mumbai will continue to Ahmedabad, JFK-Delhi flights will continue to Mumbai and Chicago-Delhi flights to Hyderabad. Connecting service is available via Air India at Delhi and Mumbai to cities across India.

Sample roundtrip sale fares for departures through Oct. 31 (including all taxes, airport and security fees, and fuel surcharges) are $1,257.18 from JFK to Delhi, $1,201.92 from Newark to Mumbai, and $1,318.58 from Chicago to Delhi. The fares are $104 higher from Nov. 1 to 26. There is a weekend surcharge of $52 each way for Friday and Saturday departures and Saturday and Sunday return flights. Sale fare tickets must be purchased by Aug. 19. The minimum stay in India is the first Sunday, and the maximum stay is three months.

Seats at these special fares are limited and may not be available on all flights. Cancellation and change fees, and other conditions and restrictions apply. Fares are subject to change without notice. Air India pays 4 percent commission on all international tickets sold in the U.S. A bonus incentive of $30 per roundtrip ticket ($15 one way) is also being offered on all Economy Class tickets from the U.S. to India issued by Aug. 19 for travel commencing by Nov. 26.
