Abercrombie & Kent has added amenities familiar to tour takers of its river cruise products.  New amenities include pre- and post-hotel nights at historic properties, such as the Hotel Torbräu, an old hotel in central Munich that has been owned by the same family for 100 years. A&K is also offering pre- and post- night stays. Also added are group welcome and farewell dinners and private transfers. A&K is also offering guests a chance to enjoy private sightseeing and activities at the destination of origin before the cruise embarks.

Sightseeing before embarking on the Classical Danube river cruise July 25-Aug 3 might include a visit to an opera house and strudel-making demonstration in Budapest before departure. Clients can also visit Weltenburg Monastery to sample its famous dark beer and explore the scenic Wachau District with a stop at the 900-year-old Melk Abbey. Groups are limited to 24 members to allow access to places inaccessible to large groups, as well as more interaction with the tour director.

Abercrombie & Kent is offering three new Connections by Abercrombie & Kent programs with six- and seven-night cruises on the 76-cabin MS Amadeus Brilliant on the Danube, Main and Rhine rivers. The Classical Danube program (July 25-Aug 3) visits three capital cities: Budapest, Hungary; Bratislava, Slovakia and Vienna, Austria.
