American Airlines and Travelport announced that the full content agreements between American and Travelport’s global distribution systems (GDSs)—Apollo, Galileo and Worldspan—have been extended concurrently and are no longer due to expire until Dec. 31. In the interim, Travelport and American will negotiate in hopes of reaching a new long-term agreement. Terms of Travelport’s subscriber opt-in programs for American remain unchanged. The companies said no further details will be disclosed at this time. American and Sabre on Oct. 31 announced they have dropped their disputes and renewed their distribution agreement for multiple years.
