American Express Travel has launched the Gold Hotel Collection, offered to Gold, Platinum and Centurion Card members by American Express travel agents. Similar to the Fine Hotels & Resorts program for Platinum Card members, the Gold Hotel Collection brings Gold Card members offerings such as room upgrades at check-in (if available), a complimentary $75 hotel or resort credit, and low rates.
The Gold Hotel Collection also offers vacation and cruise packages, allowing Gold Card members to enjoy a vacation amenity valued at $100 with participating partners when booking within a qualifying Gold Card Destinations vacation package. Card members seeking a cruise vacation will receive a cruise amenity valued at $150 with participating partners when booking a qualifying Gold Card Destinations cruise.
So far, there are 210 Gold Hotel Collection properties worldwide, including those that are part of Atlantis Paradise Island Resorts, City Center Las Vegas, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Ian Schrager Hotels, Loews Hotels, MGM Resorts Las Vegas, Omni Hotels & Resorts, Thompson Hotel Group and Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts.
The program is available through American Express travel agents. Non-American Express agents can book through the participating hotels but will not receive the Gold Hotel Collection upgrades, which are exclusive to American Express.
