ARTA Re-Elects Chairman Linares, Vice Chairman Faulds

The Association of Retail Travel Agents has re-elected Nancy Linares, CTC, Holidays ‘N Travel, Austin, Texas, as its chairman, and John Faulds, CTC, Travel Destinations, Phoenix, Ariz., as its vice chairman. ARTA also announced the 2012 ARTA Executive Committee. New to the board is Marjorie Laflin, CTC, It's A Fine Day, Northridge, Calif., as secretary. Laflin joins the board for the first time and is president of ARTA's Southern California chapter. Gerda Myer, CTC, World Travel Management, Woodland Hills, California was re-elected member-at-large.
Also joining the board for the first time is newly elected director Michael Taylor, CTA, Maine Travel & Tours, Westbrook, Maine. Continuing on the board for an additional term are Bruce Bishins, CTC, Helen Thompson Travel, Toronto, Canada; Eleanor Bronner, Paradise Travel Service, San Francisco; Jane Dever, Crosby Cruises and Tours, Florida, N.Y.; and Lynn Hayes, CTC, CWT Vacations, Greenville, S.C. The board re-appointed Bruce Bishins, CTC, as managing director to oversee ARTA’s day-to-day operations, communications and services to members, and Pat Funk as editor of ARTA’s daily e-newsletter.
