Moon Palace's Broad Appeal
Mexico’s Caribbean coast is dotted with many all-inclusive resort-style beach hotels. But in many ways, Cancun’s Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort is in a class by itself, thanks to the wide range of amenities, activities and features that appeal to a diverse group of travelers.
The property is divided into four separate areas: Sunrise, Nizuc, Moon Grand and golf villas set in a complex of six buildings. To a certain extent, each section functions as its own standalone hotel, but guests can enjoy the amenities and services at all of them.
Moon Palace’s all-inclusive concept features unlimited premium spirits, all meals and snacks, 24-hour room service, CHI bath and beauty amenities, Wi-Fi, and a double whirlpool in each suite.
The resort’s 14 restaurants serve an impressive array of diverse cuisine, ranging from Mexican to Italian and Asian, and venues range from casual and open-air to extravagant buffets and elegant, à la carte settings. During the daytime, there is also food and drink available around the multiple pools. The resort has no fewer than 12 bars as well, making it easy to enjoy after-dark fun.
Moon Palace is billed as Palace Resorts’ signature property and “the entertainment hub of Cancun.” Big-name entertainment frequently takes to the stage at the property’s event complex – Rick Astley and Foreigner were among the upcoming performers on the schedule as of press time – and guests frequently get free tickets when they stay a specified number of nights.
Accommodations categories range from deluxe resort view, designed for up to four guests, to wellness suites, which are geared toward health-conscious travelers looking for direct access to a private pool and a special menu of healthy foods.
Super-comfy Family Deluxe suites in the Sunrise section of the resort include a living / dining room with flat-screen wall-mounted TV. Two bedrooms are furnished with second TVs, oceanview balconies and very inviting Jacuzzis between the beds and balconies. The two bathrooms are equipped with two sinks, a huge walk-in closet and a water closet with toilet and separate shower.
In-room mini-fridges are well stocked with soda, and the mini-bar has a variety of name brand alcohol – all included in the all-inclusive room rate.
ACTIVITIES & FACILITIES
Guests will find lots to do here, including swimming in any of seven pools (which are so expansive that they never seem to get crowded), testing their surfing skills on the FlowRider, relaxing in the meditation garden or enjoying the silky Caribbean sands of the resort’s beach.
Moon Palace has a large, well equipped fitness and exercise space as well as a generously sized full-service spa. The property is also home to one of the only two Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses in Cancun – and the Moon Palace Golf Academy can teach guests insider techniques, thanks to the guidance of certified instructors and the latest technology.
Additionally, Moon Palace is an excellent option for your wedding and honeymoon. The resort features plentiful and diverse venues for romantic gatherings.
Larger groups can take advantage of the Moon Palace Arena, which features more than 140,000 square feet of attractive and flexible space – in addition to extremely good Wi-Fi.
The generously sized Playroom, for kids 4 to 12, features myriad activities and amenities for children, including an Xbox room, mini runway and spa.
A destination for teens onto itself, Wired features everything they need to elevate their stay, including the latest video games and classic favorites, music, TVs, and a fully stocked soda bar and concession stand complete with delicious treats.
