Austin-Lehman Adventures formed a partnership with Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) through which ALA will be EMS’s exclusive adventure travel partner and purveyor. Under the terms of the partnership, EMS will refer clients seeking adventure touring to ALA, and Austin-Lehman Adventures will in turn directs clients to EMS for their apparel and equipment needs via its website.

According to Dan Austin, ALA’s founding director, its clients will benefit from the advantages of EMS’s superior buying power and quality product offerings. ALA will post suggested packing lists for particular tours, providing links to EMS for easy access to the equipment needed.

ALA is also offering EMS customers special VIP offerings of ALA trips as part of a developing EMS Customer Loyalty Program. The partnership also provides opportunities for cross-promotional efforts, including in-store promotions, kiosks and video on ALA adventure trips. EMS will host ALA-sponsored Travel Nights (with slides, speakers and refreshments) at some of their flagship locations.
