Avalon Waterways’ Scenery Hits Snags on French River Cruise

May 28, 2012 9:36 PM

Avalon Waterways, in a Facebook post, reported that guests on an Avalon Scenery sailing on the Saone River experienced two mishaps. The river ship apparently experienced docking delays thanks to higher-than-favorable waters, and then the Scenery also had a generator issue, so the ship lost power. Avalon said the high waters are no longer a concern and Avalon Scenery's crew was able repair the generator in less than 24 hours.

Avalon Waterways said even though everything is now operating normally and on schedule, it is offering compensation because the itinerary and cruise experience were disrupted. In addition to the compensation, Avalon is offering savings on a future Avalon cruise to guests. For more information, email travelagentservice@globusfamily.com.
