A new travel website, Cancelon, said its goal is to provide a marketplace for hotel reservations that have already been purchased. Cancelon allows owners of reservations they do not want or cannot use to resell them online and recoup their investment. It also allows vacationers to buy hotel reservations at significant discounts.
Most consumers make their hotel reservations through a travel agent or a travel website but may need to make a last-minute changes or a cancellation. Sometimes the travel agent or travel site can be accommodating and refund the payment. But if the reservation was sold as non-refundable, the consumer must pay for it or pay a significant fine.
Cancelon provides an online marketplace for booked hotel reservations. If a consumer has a hotel reservation he or she can't or don’t want to use, Cancelon provides a place to sell it regardless of region, date or type. Similarly, a vacationer looking for a deal can visit Cancelon and find a hotel reservation at significant discounts.
