Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association Names New Officers

The Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA) named a new slate of officers to serve under Richard Doumeng, who was sworn in as CHTA’s new president at the organization’s annual general meeting last week in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
The new officers are Emil Lee, president of the St. Maarten Hotel & Trade Association and general manager of St. Maarten’s Princess Heights Hotel (first vice president); Alberto Abreu, director of hospitality, Punta Cana Resort & Club, Dominican Republic (second vice president); Karolin Troubetzkoy, president of the St. Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association and owner and executive director of Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain Resort, St. Lucia (third vice president); Evelyn Smith, president of the Jamaica Hotel & Tourism Association and general manager, Tensing Pen, Jamaica (fourth vice president); Willem Jonckheer, CEO of Jonckheer Advertising and Marketing, Curacao (fifth vice president); and James Hepple, president and CEO, Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association (treasurer). Doumeng and the officers will serve as CHTA officers for the 2012 to 2014 term.
