Connecticut’s J House Greenwich Boutique Hotel to Open Sept. 23

The 86-room J House Greenwich, in Greenwich, Conn., announced the date of its grand opening -- Sept. 23 -- and details about its new Chocolate Lab, a cafe and retail shop located in the lobby. The Chocolate Lab feature daily gelato selections, and chocolates and truffles, which accompany coffee drinks brewed from imported beans from Brazil, Guatemala and Costa Rica.
The Chocolate Lab is the brainchild of Francois Kwaku-Dongo, executive chef of the hotel’s restaurant, Eleven14 Kitchen. Kwaku-Dongo’s cocoa creations feature handmade truffles and filled chocolates, all handsomely packaged, as well as pastries, confections, espresso and coffee drinks, and an assortment of loose-leaf teas.
