Orbitz Worldwide said the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Texas has dismissed all existing federal antitrust claims made by American Airlines against Orbitz. Orbitz also said the court has determined that Orbitz is no longer a defendant in the case.

“Consistent with our long-held position, the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Texas has dismissed all existing antitrust claims against Orbitz Worldwide that were brought by American Airlines,” Orbitz said. “In addition, the court's docket indicates that Orbitz Worldwide has been terminated as a defendant. While the court's decision does indicate that American can file a new claim, the court’s order notes that the court has not concluded that the claim is plausible or sufficient to survive a motion to dismiss.” For more information, visit www.orbitz.com.
