Cox & Kings, which has not offered trips to Zimbabwe since 2002, in order to avoid the political turbulence associated with the rule of dictator Robert Mugabe, announced that it will resume offering group travel to Zimbabwe this summer. Cox & Kings believes the country has stabilized since the brutal elections of 2008.
Other tour operators have already returned, including Expert Africa, Africa Travel and Cazenove & Loyd. Emirates Airlines also recently launched direct flights into Harare, the nation’s capital and largest city.
