Delta Air Lines is celebrating its fifth anniversary of flying to Africa. Delta was the first major U.S. airline to operate nonstop service between the United States and Africa after Pan Am suspended flights in the 1980s.
Delta now flies to six cities in five African countries. Last week, it expanded its African network to offer nonstop service between Accra, Ghana, and Abuja, Nigeria, in partnership with Air Nigeria. The service operates twice weekly.
