Discover France Offers Reduced Prices on Cycling Tours
Cycling tour operator Discover France reduced prices by 10 percent on bookings made by Sept. 15 for travel in October to the Loire Valley and Provence regions of France. “Fewer tourists, crisp, fine weather, fairs and festivals make October an ideal month to be biking in this part of the world,” said Loren Siekman, director of Discover France. The change in exchange rate this fall amounts to another 15 percent savings for American travelers.
Discover France’s tours of the Loire Valley normally start at 598 euros per person, double occupancy, for a five-day/four-night program that travels the Loire Valley from Amboise to Chambord and Chenonceaux. The normal rates for tours in Provence start at 867 euros for a five-day/four-night program based in Gordes. On this trip, guests stay in one hotel and take day trips into the region of the Luberon.
Included in Discover France packages are three- and four-star hotels with private bathroom (upgrades available), all breakfasts and some dinners, daily bag transfer, arrival orientation, road book with detailed maps and directions, GPS (one per two persons), site/visit information and emergency support. The company will provide travel planning to add Paris hotels, car rentals, France hotels, trains, airport transfers and trains.
