Discovery Adventures Unveils New Small Group Tours for 2012
Discovery Adventures, the tour brand of the Discovery Channel operated by G Adventures, unveiled its 2012 tours, including eight new small group tours. New trips in the lineup include tours to Vietnam, Ecuador, Jordan and Nepal, and programs for Tanzania and Southern Africa have been revised for 2012. The packages include daily breakfast, accommodations and a variety of additional inclusions. They range in duration from eight to 16 days and include activities such as exploring volcanoes at the equator or swimming in the Dead Sea.
“For over 25 years, Discovery Channel has provided viewers with action-packed programming dedicated to the adventurer and explorer inside us all,” said Elizabeth Bakacs, vice president of licensing for the Discovery Channel. “With Discovery Adventures’ line-up of 37 trips, including two brand new destinations, we are offering travelers the chance to come face-to-face with the world’s great cultures, destinations and natural habitats.”
This year, the company introduced language lessons on some of its tours. G Adventures’ non-profit Planeterra Foundation offers opportunities to positively impact communities at the destinations. The lineup for 2012 includes Ecuador, Volcanoes & Cloud Forest; Wonders of Jordan; Spirit of Nepal; and Cultural Treasures of Vietnam. G Adventures is an adventure-travel pioneer, offering small group tours, safaris and expeditions to more than 100 countries.
