Ecuador’s Mangrove Galapagos Lodges Changes Name

October 26, 2010 10:19 PM

Mangrove Galapagos Lodges of Ecuadorhas changed its name to Red Mangrove Galapagos and Ecuador Lodges to “better reflect growing program development on the mainland” according to the company. This year the company added its fourth lodge, Red Mangrove Samai Lodge on the PacificCoast, and has three other lodges in the Galapagos Islands of Santa Cruz, Floreana and Isabela.

“We want to encourage Galapagos visitors to also experience the magic of mainland Ecuadorwhile they’re so close,” said Hernan Rodas, the lodging company’s owner and founder. Because interest in mainland Ecuador“has increased dramatically, we now offer mainland Ecuadorpackages and trip extensions on our website.” Presently, one-half of Mangrove clients book mainland tours or Galapagos extensions. The company plans to add new lodges in the Amazon region and the northern highlands of Ecuador, Rodas said. For more information, call 888-254-3190 or visit www.redmangrove.com.
