Ensemble to Hold 2012 Conference at PH Towers in Las Vegas
Ensemble Travel Group said it would hold its 2012 international conference in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood’s PH Towers Westgate. The event, scheduled for Oct. 24 to 28 next year, will be a repeat Vegas performance for Ensemble.
Co-presidents Libbie Rice and Lindsay Pearlman said they selected Las Vegas again because of its ability to house meetings, the airlift into the city from across North America, and the fact that Ensemble’s two most well-attended conferences have been in the resort city. This year’s conference, which held at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas, Oct. 19 to 23, attracted more than 1,000 attendees, according to Ensemble.
Ensemble said the hotel rate for attendees would be $149 per night at the all-suite PH Towers Westgate, which is connected to Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The property is a non-smoking and non-gaming resort. Rooms have contemporary décor with kitchenettes and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Ensemble also is also offering a special $199 conference sign-up fee that is good until March 31. For the group’s Canadian members, WestJet is offering special fares. In addition, as an incentive for Ensemble member travel agents, Caesars Entertainment, which owns PH Towers Westgate, is offering 15 percent commission on all bookings at the resort in 2012.
In other news, Ensemble said it would hold its Top 25 recognition event onboard Azamara Quest on a cruise, May 29 to June 2. Twenty-five U.S. members and 25 Canadian members, along with guests, will sail from Nice to Rome.
