Fairmont Hotels Donate Sleepwear, Books to Pajama Program
As part of its five-year partnership with the Pajama Program’s You’re Your Heart Campaign to provide sleepwear and books to children in need, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts of the U.S. West collected more than 1,500 pairs of new pajamas, 200 books and $2,800 in cash donations from guests, employees and community members. Participating California properties include The Fairmont San Francisco, The Fairmont San Jose, The Fairmont Newport Beach, The Fairmont Miramar Hotel and Bungalows, The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa, and The Fairmont Heritage Place, Ghirardelli Square (San Francisco).
The collected items will be distributed to philanthropic organizations in each hotel’s host communities. A number of the hotels encouraged community advocates’ participation in the PJ Drive by hosting drawings which included overnight stays. The Pajama Program is a national non-profit organization providing support to homeless children and children in need. Fairmont is owned by FRHI Holdings Limited, a global hotel company with more than 100 hotels under the Fairmont, Raffles and Swissôtel brands.
