Florida Keys Launches Hemingway Look-Alike Facebook Contest
The Florida Keys is hosting a Hemingway look-alike contest on Facebook. The winner will receive a five-day, four-night trip for two to Key West to compete in a preliminary round of the 2012 Sloppy Joe's "Papa" Hemingway Look-Alike Contest staged during Key West's annual Hemingway Days festival, set for July 17 to 22.
One photo per contestant can be submitted through the Florida Keys & Key West's Facebook page. Submissions will be accepted through June 22. Public voting is scheduled for June 23 to 29 to choose 10 finalists. A judging panel made up of past look-alike winners will select the online winner by July 2. The prize includes a $750 air-travel card, accommodations for two at the Cypress House Historic Inn, a day of fishing during the Drambuie Key West Marlin Tournament and a Key West Attractions Association pass for two.
