Greater Fort Lauderdale CVB Names Molinet Senior Vice President

Carlos Molinet, a veteran Fort Lauderdale hotelier, has been named senior vice president of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau. Molinet will report directly to Nicki Grossman, president of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, and will have oversight responsibilities for CVB operations, sales and marketing.
Molinet recently was general manager of the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina; director of operations for LXR Resorts and Hotels Fort Lauderdale; and general manager of the Fort Lauderdale Grande. Previously, he was the area general manager for the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six and Bahia Mar Beach Resort.
“Carlos is a community leader in Greater Fort Lauderdale and an integral force in contributing to and helping to reshape our hospitality sector,” said Nicki Grossman. He is currently the chairman and immediate past president of the Broward Chapter of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association (FRLA) and he has also been inducted to the 2011-12 Executive Committee of the FRLA. He has served as the Vice Chair of the Beach Business Improvement District (BID) and was formerly the vice chair of the Beach Redevelopment Advisory Board for the City of Fort Lauderdale. He is a former member of the Broward County Tourist Development Council, and a graduate of Leadership Broward Class XXVI.
