Hilton Worldwide Continues Expansion in Latin America, Mexico

Hilton Worldwide has opened six new hotels in Latin America and Mexico, and also signed 10 agreements in the last 12 months for new properties in the region, the company announced. Hilton will open a total of eight properties in 2012, including hotels in Argentina, Mexico, Panama and Peru. The company will open an additional six hotels in Argentina, Colombia and Panama in 2013. In all, Hilton has more than 20 confirmed projects and 3,000 rooms in development in the region, including properties in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama and Peru.
Within the last six months, the company has opened the Hilton Bogota in Colombia; the DoubleTree by Hilton in Saltillo, Mexico; the Hampton Inn by Hilton Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico; the Hampton Inn by Hilton Guadalajara/Expo, Mexico; the DoubleTree by Hilton Panama City; and the Hilton Garden Inn Panama.
