The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is a trade body consisting of over 240 airlines with it's mission to represent, lead, and serve the airline industry. IATA is able to provide a mutual benefit for all parties involved by simplyfing  travel and shipping, which in turn keeps costs down for consumers. In addition, airlines are able to operate safely and securely.
