The upcoming 2012 International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM), Dec. 3 to 6 in Cannes, France, will feature a strong line-up of pioneering figures from the luxury travel sector. Who better to evaluate the direction luxury travel will take in the future than the people who led it through the past? Pioneers from Oberoi, Bulgari and Condé Nast will share their experiences, make predictions and advise attendees on how to reach new luxury markets. “The World in 2013” will be presented by The Economist’s John Andrews.

A series of one-on-one interviews with luxury travel leaders will be a centerpiece at the Opening Forum. The annual by-invitation-only event will feature the insights of P.R.S. Oberoi, chairman and CEO of The Oberoi Group, and Silvio Ursini, the executive vice president of Bulgari Hotels & Resorts. Nicholas Coleridge, the president of Conde Nast International, will conclude the forum with an overview entitled “New World of Luxury,” which will point out the countries where key luxury brands are focusing and where to look for tomorrow’s luxury consumers.

The mart presents what it calls “the world’s definitive collection of luxury experiences and prestigious luxury travel products,” as well as the “most discerning luxury travel buyers and agents from across the globe.” The International Luxury Travel Market and ILTM Asia in Shanghai (June 3-6) are leading annual business-to-business events for the travel industry. The ILTM Americas, designed for American agents, will take place for the first time in Mayakoba, Mexico, from Oct. 1 to 3.

The shows are run by Reed Travel Exhibitions, which also operates the World Travel Market (WTM); the Arabian Travel Market (ATM); the International French Travel Market (IFTM); La Cumbre; International Golf Travel Market (IGTM); Asia--Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo (AIME); Global Exhibition for Incentive, Business Travel, and Meetings (EIBTM); Gulf Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings (GIBTM); Americas Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings (AIBTM); China Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings (CIBTM); and Business Travel Market. Reed will launch The Spa & Wellness Summit, taking place in Austria Tyrol (Sept. 10-12). From April 23 to 25, Reed will launch World Travel Market Latin America in São Paulo, Brazil.
