The Home Based Travel Agent Forum set for Las Vegas, May 14-16, will feature an exclusive showing of the Fremont Street Experience for delegates on Tuesday evening, May 15. This evening under the stars will feature food and beverage stations at participating hotels, entertainment and dancing on three stages, a unique ride above Fremont Street by way of a zip line cable, and VIP areas that will be cordoned off for the sole use of Home Based Travel Agent Forum participants.
“Here’s an evening that you won’t soon forget,” said Jim Cloonan, president of the Travel Show Marketing Group (TSMG), which produces the Home Based Travel Agent Forum. “Thanks goes to the generosity and commitment of the people of the Fremont Street Experience, the Las Vegas CVA, Flightlines, and the cooperating hotels, which include Binion’s, the Fitz, Four Queens, the Fremont Hotel, the Golden Gate, Plaza Hotel and the Golden Nugget.”
During this gala evening host hotels will provide distinctive foods on their outdoor patios along with signature cocktails to complement the free beer, wine and soft drinks. For entertainment, the Fremont Street Experience will be providing three bands, including a tribute cover band to the Golden Age of Las Vegas, an 1980s band, and a more traditional cover band to help all of the guests get into to the groove and dance the night away.
The Home Based Travel Agent Forum takes place at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino and its sister property, The Palazzo, bringing this show and conference back to the venues that hosted this highly successful event last May. Registration for the forum is available for $90 by visiting www.lvtravelshow.com or by contacting Lisa Marshall at 508-553-3593 or emailing Lisa@TravelSMG.com. At the same website address, travel agents can sign up for a suite at the Venetian for $99 per night. Agents are advised to register as soon as possible to make sure that the $99 rate does not sell out.
Meanwhile, beyond the Fremont Street Experience, the entertainment playbill also features access to top-notch shows, including “Jersey Boys,” “Absinthe,” “Phantom of the Opera,” “Peepshow” and “Blue Man Group.” Also, there is a sponsored lunch on Tuesday, May 15, sponsored by the Venetian, with other functions to be announced shortly.
Special pre-show training will be offered on Sunday, May 13, with specific details to be announced shortly. One of the features of the program will be a Costa Rica Specialist Training seminar, and since this session will have limited seating, pre-registered agents will be notified in advance to give them an equal chance to sign up for this rewarding opportunity.
According to Cloonan, this year’s expanded conference program will once again guarantee that nothing is slated to compete with the trade show hours on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning. “Exhibitors make this show possible and we want to make sure that they’re satisfied when leaving Las Vegas,” he said.
A key partner in the forum, the Outside Sales Support Network (OSSN), is supplying much of the educational programming content, and OSSN is also bringing some significant new faces and voices to the conference itinerary. Gary Fee, OSSN’s president, will as usual host several of the morning meetings and general sessions, as well as moderate the cruise panel on Tuesday afternoon.
