Mexico’s Rosewood Mayakoba Resort Offers Spa, Cuisine Packages
The all-suite, 128-room Rosewood Mayakoba resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico, is offering two travel packages focusing on Mayan inspired spa treatments using traditional healing techniques and new culinary concepts and menus from the resort’s award-winning restaurants.
The five-day Rosewood Rebirth package features a private airport transfer in a Rosewood Mayakoba SUV; a welcome reception with the resort’s managing director; a special lecture on the history of Mexico through the Pre-Hispanic, Spanish colonial and contemporary times; a tour of the Mayan ruins of Coba guided by a professional archeologist; a beachside luncheon; a beachfront feast featuring Mexican delicacies, traditional Mayan music and a traditional purification ceremony led by a Mayan shaman priest; a choice of touring the Chichen Itza pyramids and visiting Valladolid, or exploring Tulum and sea snorkeling; lunch at Chichen Itza; a private tequila tasting; a choice of tour to Sian Ka´An, or an eco-adventure and cave snorkeling expedition; lunch at the tour location; and a private airport transfer in a Rosewood Mayakoba SUV. The package features accommodations in a lagoon studio suite and starts at $6,400 per couple. The offer applies to bookings made by Oct. 1, 2012 for stays from October 2012 through April 2013.
Rosewood’s five-day Ultimate New Beginning package will offer a Rosewood Mayakoba SUV transfer; a personal welcome by the managing director; a one-on-one discussion with the resort’s archeology master, who will share knowledge of the region and Mayan culture; a welcome reception and dinner; a private helicopter to Coba and tour through the ruins; a private helicopter tour of Tulum; private SUV transportation as requested; a picnic lunch; a beachfront party with Mexican delicacies, Mayan music and dance, and traditional pre-Hispanic rituals led by a Mayan shaman priest; a private helicopter flight to Chichen Itza and tour of the ruins; an escorted tour of a modern-day Mayan village; a private tequila tasting and beachside dinner; lunch at Chichen Itza; a traditional Temazcal Ritual & Ancient Mayan massage at the resort’s spa; and private transfer to the airport in a Rosewood SUV . The package is priced at $79,000 per couple appllied to bookings made by Oct. 1, 2012 for stays from Dec. 20 to 24, 2012.
