The London Festival, taking place from June 21 to Sept. 9, aims to showcase the best of British art and culture. This includes West End LIVE (June 23 and 24), which will bring a number of musicals to Trafalgar Square.

Millennium & Copthorne Hotels have six establishments within fashionable areas of London and in close proximity to this event, including hotels in Knightsbridge. The event will include performances from classic musicals such as “The Lion King” and “Les Miserables,” as well as other newer offerings including “Matilda the Musical” and “Billy Elliot the Musical.” The productions are free to attend and the different choice of shows means that there is something for everybody.

The 2011 West End LIVE event saw over 500,000 people visit the square to watch performances that can cost hundreds of pounds to see. “London is truly the theater capital of the world,” said Julian Bird of the Society of London Theatre (SOLT). “West End LIVE will showcase exactly why nearly 14 million Londoners and visitors flocked to our theaters last year and gives a taste of the world-class musicals they can enjoy this summer.”

In addition to the theatrical shows, there will be live bands playing and interactive exhibits from some of London's most popular attractions, such as Ripley's Believe It Or Not and The Science Museum. Millennium & Copthorne's London hotels are located all in the popular districts of Kensington, Chelsea, Knightsbridge and Mayfair and close to transport links and top sights and attractions.
