AvGeeks, mark your calendars for a stay in Los Angeles in late spring 2026. That’s when a new airline-themed hotel is set to open its doors and immerse travelers in the retro ambience of the Golden Age of air travel.
The Pan Am Hotel by Hilton is scheduled to open at Los Angeles’ Citadel Outlet mall next spring, offering guests an experience that “combines mid-century aesthetics with contemporary design,” according to Travel Trade Journal.
Renderings of the hotel’s lobby show a modern, minimalist design with accents of natural materials like wood and marble. Behind the front desk are several floating iterations of Pan Am’s iconic globe logo.
Few details about the hotel have been released, but the TTJ report says it will feature two full-service dining venues, a fitness center, and intuitive room amenities such as storage for two oversized suitcases.
The hotel will be part of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection.
Pan American World Airways was founded in the 1920s, but the airline reached its height from the 1950s to the 1979s. The carrier won over the hearts of fliers for its far-flung destinations and by experimenting with new modern aircraft like the double-decker Boeing 747.
The airline officially ceased operations in 1991, but Pan Am has still loomed large in the minds of airline enthusiasts for its sense of adventure and retro glamor.
The new Pan Am-themed hotel is the latest nostalgic experience that’s reviving the beloved Jet Age airline’s aesthetics. This summer, travelers will also have the chance to fly with the airline once again as Pan Am’s official brand is offering a private jet tour that will recreate some of the historic routes that the airline is known for pioneering.
