If you said "craft beer", you'd be right and also be happy to know that more and more airlines are developing beers that will taste perfect in flight.
Most recently, Cathay Pacific introduced a handcrafted bottled beer that was specifically designed to be enjoyed at 35,000 feet. Betsy Beer, named for the airline's first aircraft, joined the Cathay Pacific team last month and will be served on business- and first-class flights between Hong Kong and destinations in the UK through April 30.

Cabin pressure affects taste buds and can make food and drinks, such as hops, taste bitter when flying. That's why the team at Cathay Pacific used a combination of science and traditional brewing methods to come up with a winning beer.

While science and technology certainly play a role, attention was also paid to how it tastes and the special brew includes "dragon eye" fruit, which is known for its aroma and texture, making the beer truly unique.
For the final touch, an expert tasting panel gave the beer the all clear for take-off.
In case you are looking for a more grounded beer experience, travelers can get their hands on a bottle of Betsy in airline lounges in Hong Kong and Heathrow and at select Swire-owned restaurants in Hong Kong.
