On Thursday, American Airlines announced a new partnership with ride-hailing service Uber with the hope of providing customers with faster service, better airport navigation and more money-saving promotions.
According to the official American Airlines website, customers who book their flights on the company's official website will receive a confirmation email that will allow them to set a reminder for an Uber ride when they land.
The Uber function is available at 11 airports across the United States, including Chicago O'Hare International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, Philadelphia International Airport, New York's John F. Kennedy International and LaGuardia airports and more.
American Airlines' AAdvantage Executive Platinum members will receive Uber discounts of up to $25 as long as they're signed up for the program by March 1. Customers who have never signed up for Uber will also be eligible to earn up to $20 off their next ride when using the promo code RIDEAA.

Customers who use the AAdvantage Aviator MasterCard are also eligible to earn bonus miles.
American Airlines Director of Partner Marketing Scott Hinshaw released a statement about the working relationship between the airline and the ride-hailing service:
"We're excited to partner with the only global ride sharing service to offer customers exactly what they're asking for - a seamless travel experience, whether they're in the sky or on the ground. By working together, we can provide a service that allows customers to request their Uber ride to the airport in step with their itinerary and know where to meet their Uber driver after their flight lands."
