Either Baby Spice is not nearly as recognizable in person as you would think, or British Airways travelers are not all that into pop culture.
Those are the two major takeaways after watching a delightful video featuring Spice Girl Emma Bunton playing the part of a British Airways customer service agent.
As Billboard.com reminds, the prank posted below is part of the annual Red Nose Day: a special date for comedy and entertainment used to raise money in the hopes of ending child poverty.
Bunton portrayed a customer service rep helping people with their check-in process.
Like Superman, simply giving Bunton a pair of glasses completely disguises her from clueless travelers unaware they are conversing with a Spice Girl.
The fun, in the case of British Airways, didn’t stop with Baby slyly spouting off Spice Girl lyrics. Olympian Tom Daley and comedian David Walliams also got into the act:
Let this be a lesson. If you are rushing through the airport to catch your plane and something seems amiss with the staff at your respective airline. It’s probably just because they are famous people pulling a fast one on you.
