Despite making some positive strides towards cutting wait times, the TSA is still urging people to come to the airport prepared this summer. At Syracuse Hancock Airport, for example, the security agency has made special announcements asking people to wear slip on shoes and avoid putting things like large tubes of toothpaste in their carry-on luggage.
XL Airways France has started three-times-per-week flights between Paris and Los Angeles. The route is already served by Air Tahiti Nui and Air France, and Norwegian will launch service this summer.
After ending negotiations without a deal last week, United Airlines and its flight attendants have agreed to extend contract talks. The two sides will attempt to iron out the details of a new contract ahead of a final mediation session in two weeks time.
Southwest Airlines has added nine new flights from Oakland International, including a second daily flight to Baltimore and a new flight to Saint Louis.
