An Aeromexico flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Guadalajara after a drunken passenger became disruptive.
According to MercuryNews.com, Aeromexico Flight 664 took off from Mexico City International Airport en route to San Francisco International Airport just before 6:30 p.m. local time on August 22.
One of the passengers on the plane, identified as 20-year-old Laura Aceves, said she noticed flight attendants were becoming concerned about a passenger at the rear of the plane who was being disruptive around 30 minutes after taking off.
The well-dressed man appeared to be drunk and was asked to be quiet by crew members but continued harassing other passengers. Eventually, the attendants notified the pilot of the incident and the flight was diverted to Guadalajara International Airport.

Mexican police were on the scene when the plane landed and boarded the flight. It reportedly took authorities 30 to 40 minutes to remove the man from the plane, but not before he started verbally and physically attacking other passengers.
"It took them 30 to 40 minutes to get him out of his seat and off the plane," Aceves told the Mercury News. "He was hitting and punching other passengers as they were trying to drag him out. He was under the influence, and you could smell the alcohol on him."
Once the disruptive passenger was in custody, the flight was once again prepped for takeoff, completing its journey to San Francisco at 10:30 p.m. local time, over an hour after it was scheduled to arrive.
