Delta CEO Ed Bastian has said that he would like his airline to start flying between its Atlanta hub and Shanghai, China again. However, Bastian also said that this will not be possible in the near future because of a lack of available slots and the expense of aircraft allocation.
easyJet has started to work on an alternative operating license within the EU. The UK-based LCC expects Britain to be able to negotiate a deal that will allow its airlines to access Europe, but it wants to be prepared should that not happen.
Bahamasair has started a second route between the Bahamas and Orlando. The regional carrier already flies between Nassau and Orlando (MCO) up to three times per day. Its new route is between Freeport, on Grand Bahama, and Orlando. This route will be served twice per week.
Allegiant Airlines has decided to turn its seasonal service between Missoula, Montana and Los Angeles into year-round service. Allegiant already offers year-round flights from Missoula to Las Vegas and Mesa, Arizona.
