Ethiopian Airlines is planning to grow its fleet to 150 airplanes by 2025. The airline now has 76 airplanes in service and has 47 on order.

CEO Tewolde GebreMariam said the airline is now evaluating  Boeing 777X, Airbus 350-1000 and Bombardier Q400 aircraft as it prepares to make purchases.

In June the airline ordered six 787-8 Dreamliners worth $1.3 billion in total.

Ethiopian Airlines now has 14 A350-900 aircraft on order from Airbus and is negotiating with the manufacturer to try to push the delivery into the 2016-2017 time frame as opposed to the previously agreed upon 2016-2018.
