Thom Patterson writes on CNN.com that the Farnborough International Airshow, held outside of London, is like Fashion Week for aviation geeks. He takes the metaphor all the way to the runway, where instead of super models, these model planes showcase the latest in aviation design.
While it was hard to narrow down, Patterson takes a look at his five favorites of the show, such as the Bombardier CS100, which he says feels “roomy.”
“You may be flying on this plane soon because Delta Air Lines, the world's second-largest carrier, agreed to buy at least 75 of them earlier this year. The airline has left the door open to the possibility it may buy more,” he writes.
Patterson also talks about the new A350 by Airbus, the upcoming Boeing 787-9, which is longer and seats more people, and more.
