A father is being celebrated after going above and beyond to bring Halloween and the joy of trick-or-treating to the skies for his young daughter.
According to FOX61, the unidentified dad passed out candy to passengers aboard a Halloween flight from Boston's Logan International Airport to San Francisco International Airport Monday, but the treats weren't for his fellow passengers to snack on. The candy was for his daughter and included a note explaining his clever plan.
"My 3-year-old daughter, Molly, was bummed that she wouldn’t be able to go trick-or-treating this year due to this flight," it read. "So I decided to bring trick-or-treating to her. If you are willing, when my little donut comes down the aisle, please drop this in her basket. You’ll be making her Halloween! If you’re unwilling, no worries, just pass the treat back to me. Thanks so much!"
Passenger Stephanie Kahan posted a photo of the note and a shot of Molly, who was dressed as a donut, collecting candy from passengers as she made her way down the aisle.
OMG, my heart is exploding right now. Dad of the year just passed out candy to everyone on the flight so his 3 year old could trick or treat pic.twitter.com/vfsAcYNrhr— Stephanie Kahan (@stephaniekahan) November 1, 2016
Sure, there's nothing like the excitement of going door to door to collect goodies on Halloween night when you're a kid. But this comes pretty close.
