Heathrow Doesn't Want Dolphins Coach Either

The Miami Dolphins football team is struggling so far this year, falling to a 1-3 record after losing to the New York Jets on Sunday as the National Football League played one of its two annual games in London.

Many Dolphins fans are calling for head coach Joe Philbin to be fired in the wake of the slow start, as fans are wont to do. Even sportswriters have questioned how much longer Philbin will be able to keep his job when much was expected of the team.

So when one sportswriter made a joke on Twitter, it prompted an equally funny response from Heathrow Airport. And perhaps what was even funnier was that Heathrow wasn’t even tagged in the original tweet, so perhaps it is wishful thinking that whoever runs the airport’s Twitter account was certainly caught up in the hoopla of American football.

Yahoo! writer Jay Busbee was tweeting all day about the NFL games and at one point sent this one out:

Heathrow Airport quickly responded:

American football in England has become popular, to the point where the NFL is considering a franchise in London.

Philbin made it back to the colonies with his job intact, for the moment.
