If you are based in Dallas and you have a great business idea, Southwest Airlines is looking for you.
The Dallas-based airline is sponsoring a contest called Soar to Success at Addison TreeHouse, a co-working space and nonprofit resource center for entrepreneurship, reports the Dallas Morning News.
According to Shelley Widom, director of Addison TreeHouse, the contest is open to entrepreneurs who have an early concept, an existing startup or a product on the market – and she noted that Southwest is the perfect partner for the contest.
"Southwest started as a startup and they've grown into an international brand," said Widom. "That's what we want for all of the startups and entrepreneurs. We want them to be the new Southwest."
The competition is open to any woman or minority entrepreneur in North Texas and entrants will present their ideas at Addison TreeHouse at 6 p.m. Sept. 7 in front of an audience.
