Do we really need an airline targeted toward millennials?
Maybe not, but there is already a river cruise line devoted to the generation so why not?
Answering the clarion call to millennials' need for tailored service in the sky is Air France, which just debuted Joon.
The new airline is dubbed a "rooftop bar in the sky," a fashion brand, an entertainment channel and a personal assistant rolled into one.

While the airline clearly targets a younger generation, executives say it is for anyone who is looking for a new travel experience.
"Joon is a new model of airline, between a traditional and low-cost airline, a new travel experience for all customers," said Franck Terner, CEO of Air France.
"Joon is one of our major projects as part of the strategic plan Trust Together and will be one of Air France's priorities in its offensive to win back market share," Franck added. "Joon will accelerate the group's development and will be an integral part of the group's network and portfolio of airlines: complementary and extremely powerful on departure from France."
Jean-Michel Mathieu, Joon's newly minted CEO said that the airline was created in the spirit of creativity, innovation and agility.
"Joon is Air France's little sister, who breaks with tradition and takes inspiration from the new expectations of travelers to offer an experience that goes beyond the aircraft doors," Mathieu said.
The onboard experience is centered around service, which is included for business-class passengers and fee-based in economy.
