KLM Launches Unforgettable Airline Campaign

KLM isn’t the newest electronic dance music group, and it isn’t something the kids text to one another. No, in fact, KLM is an airline.
Obviously, we have no idea why we are telling you, because you are upstanding and knowledgeable travelers who may have actually flown KLM before, but there are so many Americans who are oblivious to the myriad KLM airplanes that scour skylines across the globe.
It’s that fact that the airline – again, KLM is an airline – has employed the services of Ken Marino to hammer home its newest marketing campaign entitled, you guessed it, It’s An Airline.
KLM picked the prefect spokesman for its wacky campaign. Many of you know Marino from his work in such fare as “Wet Hot American Summer,” “Party Down” and “Role Models.”
In this case, he is a host breaking the fourth wall as he implores the audience to remember one important fact: KLM is an airline.
Tnooz explains: “The campaign aims to put to rest any confusion among US travellers that KLM is anything other than an airline. The company says it carried out some brand research which revealed that many American consumers thought it was a radio station or brand of milk.”
A quick trip through its website, which we linked above, highlights various amenities and facts about KLM.

KLM is hoping to make its brand a more recognizable commodity among currently clueless American travelers.
The motto might be cheesy and painfully simple, but it manages to stick in the noggin long after you click off the video and possibly well into your next holiday research project.
Just remember what KLM is and we should all be fine.
