A man was arrested at London's Luton Airport over the weekend after allegedly attempting to open an emergency door mid-flight.
According to The Sun, the incident occurred Saturday night aboard a Wizz Air flight from Poland to London.
Bedfordshire Police confirmed the passenger was restrained by crew members after becoming disruptive and trying to unlock the door.
Once on the ground, police arrested the man on suspicion of endangering an aircraft. He was transported to the hospital and treated for minor injuries. He remains in police custody.
Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air confirmed the incident in a statement, stressing its zero tolerance policy for abusive behavior.
"The crew on duty followed standard procedures to ensure the continued safe operation of the flight. Upon landing, the passenger was handed over to the respective authorities," a spokesperson told The Sun. "Safety and security are the top priorities of the airline and there is zero tolerance for abusive behavior towards our passengers and staff. This is now a matter for the police."

Earlier this month, a Beijing-bound Delta Air Lines flight was forced to return to Seattle after a passenger attempted to open an exit door in mid air and attacked crew members who tried to stop him.
A similar incident occurred aboard an Air Asia flight a few days later. That passenger had to be restrained by crew members and passengers as well.
