Porsche announced Monday that it had set a new Guinness World Records title by having two of its luxury Cayenne SUVs each tow a massive Air France Airbus A380 aircraft.
The new record for heaviest aircraft pulled by a production car was set by both a Cayenne S Diesel and a Cayenne Turbo S.
The vehicles, driven by Porsche technician Richard Payne, towed the 315-ton Airbus A380 around 138 feet at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, beating the previous record by an astounding 126 tons.

The official YouTube page of Porsche shared a video of the record-setting feat:
"Like Porsche, Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance thrive on excellence and pushing engineering boundaries," Air France Industries executive vice president Gery Mortreux said in a statement.
"It was an honor to host Porsche at our hangar at Charles de Gaulle, which is usually home to our engineers working on our fleet of 10 Airbus A380 - one of the most sophisticated aircraft in the world."

"This achievement is a new illustration of the way AFI KLM E&M is able to adapt to specific requirements, and the passion we put on every challenge we take," Mortreux continued. "It was fun and exciting to watch the two machines together - our engineers were intrigued and impressed. Congratulations to Porsche on a remarkable achievement."
Measuring at almost 16 feet long, the Porsche Cayenne managed to tow the 239.5-feet-long plane by using a special towing attachment that was designed to fit on the vehicle's standard tow bar.
With Porsche on the case, towing planes never looked so good.
