Spirit Airlines today announced that Pittsburgh International Airport will become the 61st city on its route roster starting later this year.
Non-stop service will go to Dallas/Fort Worth, Myrtle Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Las Vegas, Houston and Los Angeles.
"Pittsburgh is an excellent place to expand our growing network," Mark Kopczak, Vice President of Network Planning for Spirit Airlines, said in a statement. "Spirit's super low Bare Fares™ with Frill Control™ allow customers to choose only those extras they want to pay for and gives them the most control over their travel budget. This new service complements Spirit's existing service from Latrobe, and will help us provide even more ultra-low fare options from western Pennsylvania."
