Disturbing video has emerged of a United Airlines employee shoving a 71-year-old man to the ground, according to a report on NBC News.

In the video, obtained by NBC's Houston affiliate, KPRC, the man, Ronald Tigner, is clearly seen with two United employees-identified as Alejandro Anastasia and Ianthe Phillips-Allred.
The three appear to be talking when Anastasia unexpectedly shoves Tigner to the ground.
Tigner lays on the floor for more than a minute before being helped to his feet by another passenger. He is now suing United for more than $1 million.
According to Tigner's attorney, William Hoke, the altercation occurred when his client approached Anastasia and Phillips-Allred for a replacement boarding pass after his was rejected at security. When the two employees refused and started smiling at Tigner, he told Anastasia to wipe the smile off of his face.
According to Hoke, Anastasia responded with an expletive and then shoved Tigner to the ground.

After the video came to light, United issued an apology to Tigner, saying in a statement:
"The conduct shown here does not reflect our values or our commitment to treat all of our customers with respect and dignity. We are taking a thorough look into what happened here and reaching out to our customer to profusely apologize for what occurred and to make this right."
They also noted that the employee was no longer with the airline.
This new revelation comes at a bad time for United, which has fought off a spate of bad publicity. An incident in April of this year involved Dr. David Dao being dragged from a United flight, which also resulted in a lawsuit that was later settled out of court.
